Our holiday to Phuket was full of adventure! On our first day, post exploring the Big Budha and the Buddhist Temple, Wat Chalong, we went to The Flying Hanuman for some zip lining adventure. Now Ms. N absolutely loves zip-lining, but Mr. C prefers adventures below the sea…so we decided on one day for each of the activity.
At the Flying Hanuman we chose the one hour package…. we started with a trek to the top of the forest which definitely showed me how unfit I am…. but once we were on top it was all fun zipping through the lush forest, until Mr. C had an accident where he hit the platform with great force leaving 3 big cuts on his leg. The team took us to the hospital where post x-ray and dressing of the wound we were told to come back to check the wound next day.
Most people at this point would cancel any water sports, but not Mr. C he was very sure he would not miss his scuba diving the next day.
So, off we went. the next day, with a team of Aussie Divers to the islands of Racha Noi… Mr. C did 3 dives in all and kept dressing his wound post each dive…. Ms. N on the other hand stuck to Snorkelling. The sun totally burnt us and by the evening we were glad to be able to relax at our hotel and watch the sun set.
Day three was finally on land 🙂 We walked around the Phuket old market with all its eclectic street art and shops, indulged in exotic ice-creams and sweet coconut water to keep us cool while we shopped.
And the day ended with fireworks….. it was after all the last day of the year! Happy New Year people! Here is wishing you many memorable dates and exciting travels in the new year!
